How Do I Get Started with uAcademy?
No paperwork, no waiting lists, no prerequisites. Pick a course, check out, and you’re in.
How do I sign up for a uAcademy course?
Pick your course on our courses page, click “Get Started”, and complete checkout. You’ll get instant access — your login details arrive by email within minutes, and you can start studying straight away. No approval process, no waiting period.
Do I need any qualifications to start?
Can I try a course before I buy?
Yes. We offer free trials for our most popular courses — no payment details required.
The CeMAP free trial gives you 7 days of access with 10 lessons and a sample mock exam. The CeRER free trial includes 7 days, 7 lessons, and 1 sample mock. Both give you a genuine taste of the course before you commit.
What devices can I use to study?
Any device with an internet connection. Our courses work on PC, Mac, tablets, and smartphones. Everything runs in your web browser — there’s nothing to download or install. Start a lesson on your laptop at home, pick up where you left off on your phone during a commute.
What Courses Does uAcademy Offer?
Professional qualification courses built for online self-study. Updated regularly, backed by a pass guarantee.
What courses does uAcademy offer?
We offer professional financial qualification courses including:
CeMAP — Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (£198, 274 lessons, 30 mock exams)
CeRER — Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (£99)
CeMAP Mock Exams — standalone mock exam pack (£19, 30 papers)
CeRER Mock Exams — standalone mock exam pack (£19, 12 papers)
Property Development — included free with the full CeMAP course (normally £99)
Life in the UK Test — preparation course (£9)
Visit our courses page for the full range.
How long do I have access to my course?
12 months from the date of purchase. That’s enough time for most students to complete their studies and sit all their exams. No auto-renewal — your access simply expires after 12 months unless extended by the pass guarantee.
Are your courses up to date?
Yes. LIBF courses — CeMAP and CeRER — are updated to the 2025/26 LIBF specification. This matters because exam content changes when the spec updates, and studying outdated material is a fast route to a failed exam. All other courses are reviewed and updated regularly to ensure accuracy.
What is the uAcademy Pass Guarantee?
Is the Property Development course really free?
Yes. When you purchase the full CeMAP course (£198), the Property Development course (normally £99) is included at no extra cost. It’s automatically added to your account alongside your CeMAP materials.
What Are uAcademy’s Payment Options?
Simple one-time payments. No subscriptions, no hidden fees, no auto-renewals.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal, all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Amex), Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely through our encrypted checkout.
Are there monthly payment options?
No. Monthly payment plans have been discontinued. All courses are available as a one-time payment only. This keeps things simple — pay once, get 12 months of access, no recurring charges to worry about.
Is there a student discount?
Yes. Sign up to our mailing list and we’ll send you a 15% discount code by email. You can use the signup form at the bottom of this page. The discount applies to all paid courses.
Do you offer refunds?
You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase, in line with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
If you’ve already accessed the course content — started lessons or taken mock exams — the cooling-off right is waived, as agreed at checkout. This is standard for digital content under UK law.
If your course content is faulty or not as described, you’re entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
To request a refund, contact us via our contact form and we’ll respond within one working day.
How Do uAcademy Exams and Qualifications Work?
uAcademy provides training. The qualifications themselves are awarded by external bodies like LIBF. Here’s how it works.
Does uAcademy award the qualifications?
No. uAcademy provides training materials and mock exams — we do not award qualifications or administer official exams.
For LIBF courses like CeMAP and CeRER, the qualification is awarded by the London Institute of Banking & Finance. Students must register with LIBF separately and pay exam fees directly to them.
For other courses, qualifications are awarded by the relevant external provider. Check the individual course page for specific details.
How do I book my exams?
For LIBF courses (CeMAP and CeRER): register with LIBF online, then book your exam at a Pearson VUE test centre or sit remotely via online proctoring from home.
For other courses, check the relevant course page for specific booking instructions. Each awarding body has its own process.
How much are the exam fees?
Exam fees are separate from uAcademy course fees and paid directly to the exam provider. uAcademy course prices cover training materials and mock exams only.
For current LIBF exam fees, visit the LIBF website for the latest pricing.
What happens if I fail an exam?
You only need to resit the unit you failed — not the entire qualification. A resit fee applies, paid directly to the exam provider. Check with your exam provider for current resit fees and booking instructions.
Your uAcademy course materials remain available throughout your access period, so you can revisit lessons and mock exams before reattempting.
