The Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice – CEMAP for short is the industry-standard qualification for mortgage advisers.

The CEMAP Module 1 course is a distant learning course. Students are provided with online study materials to learn at home, at work or on the go. The recommended time to complete Module is 130 study hours.
Students have access to the CEMAP Module 1 course for 12 months. As the recommended study time is 130 hours, this should be more than enough time to learn the course contents.
The CEMAP Module 1 course contains two units. Each Unit has it’s own lessons within it, and at the end of each there will be a mock test exam to test your knowledge.

Assessment & Qualification
The prices of the courses are strictly for the course content and mock exams. The price does not include the exam fee.
Students who wish to qualify with CeMAP as a regulated mortgage adviser need to register with the official awarding body – The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) and a fee applies.
Students that are not registered with the LIBF won’t be able to take the exams and won’t get a licence to practise.

The examination for CEMAP 1 has 50 multiple choice questions for each Unit (100 in total).
The Certificate In Mortgage Advice and Practice (CEMAP) is a Level 3 certificate. The certificate is recognised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and is awarded by the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF).
CEMAP Module 1 is the first module for the full CEMAP Qualification. If you would like to be a fully qualified CEMAP Mortgage Adviser, then you will need to complete Module 1, Modules 2, Module 3 and pass the exams for all three modules.
Grading for each unit:
0% – 69%
70% – 79%
80% – 89%
90% – 100%
